Maria Oriental Wind - artist and decorator, originally from Moscow, Russia, currently based in Goa, India

 

The creative name Oriental Wind - appeared long before this project, but it fully reflects the mood and atmosphere of artworks.

 

She has traveled a lot in Asia, lived in India, and the East is a great source of inspiration for her.

 

Maria graduated as environment and interior designer  

(Moscow State University of Design and Technology 2011)

But at some point realized that physically work with materials and creation a product from scratch to a tangible result was much more relevant.

 

Knowing how difficult it can be to find decorative content in a project, she started creating paintings and panels that she would like to see in the interiors herself.

In her artworks, Maria explores the theme of Spiritual art, Oriental symbolism in a modern interpretation and research the combination of energetic and visual effects on space, in order to harmonise it.

 

Experiments with materials and artistic techniques,  gave rise to her author's techniques.

 

At the moment Maria is a member of the Eurasian Art Union, participant of international exhibitions, her works are in private collections in the USA, Kazakhstan, Europe, Russia.

 

For Maria creativity is one of the forms of meditation and her intention is to make the paintings convey this state.
