The inspiration for the Himalayas Series was the myths and legends about Shambala, a mythical country located, presumably in the region of Tibet in the Himalayas mountains.

 

The artworks are made in a mixed technique - a combination of frescoes and decorative painting was chosen to create a haze effect. And the generously added metallic pigments allow the image to look different, depending on the angle of view, simulating the change in lighting in the mountains.
